What visitors say
Very interesting.Museum is bit harder to find but just trust your GPS.You are able to touch most of the exposition and sit in some cockpits restored from WW2. Definitely worth to visit.Just take lunch and drinks with you as there is no café on site.Toilets are on site, very clean. Place have little sitting area outside so after you finish your tour indoors you can eat your lunch outdoors and have fab day out.

Throughly enjoyed my time here today. Spoke about all sorts with the friendly, passionate and knowledgeable volunteers. This is a real museum, where things aren’t all behind glass cases. You can get in cockpits, handle decommissioned rifles and put on a helmet. Loved how they really linked the artefacts to men and women who served. Some brilliant and really human stories, as well as some great hardware. Would recommend to anyone with a love of history, or under the age of 10!

Really good. Really surprising. Very different to a lot of museums and run by a small team of enthusiasts. The exhibits are all fragments of aircraft and associated bits, that come from all over the world. The great sense you are left with is of the destruction of world war II. A very characterful and eccentric place. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful visit to the Wings Museum near Haywards Heath. The museum showcases an impressive range of original and iconic wartime items, all presented and preserved with great care. You can really feel the history behind each piece, and the displays are both engaging and informative. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, clearly passionate about the museum and happy to share their knowledge. Their enthusiasm truly enhances the experience. Overall, it’s a unique and meaningful place to explore—definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area or have an interest in history.
