What visitors say
It's a quirky little place, with various art and fun carvings. There's even a piano. Kids would love it. I bet they do scouts and school outdoor activities there. The tower was under renovation when I went so I don't know if you can enter or see much of the tower itself. The views are lovely and there are a few benches to relax on.

Lovely little copse at the top of the hill with a 100ft tower in the centre. Wooden sculptures and bits of interest dotted around the copse and a working piano. I enjoyed looking for the crows and wooden sculptures in the trees. Had been raining for a week before I got up there last time and yet the ground wasn't boggy or muddy. Access via the paved path off of Stamford road provided an easy cycle up to the top.

The Folly is having work done. But the woods were both magical and amazing. You need to look hard, yet, at times, we'd turn around and see something new

This is the most delightful, magical hill top. As if the Folly and the view wasn't good enough, the team who look after Faringdon Folly have added some pure magic to each & every corner of this little wood ✨ Every time I visit, there's something new to see, and I am amazed every time by the craftsmanship that makes it so special. This time, with the **Lord of the Rings theme**, it feels extra special. I was definitely not expecting to be playing Jingle Bells on a piano in the woods today! Above the piano, it says **"Welcome to Hobbiton. Go Hobbiton Hill"** in the Elvish Tengwar script (J.R.R. Tolkien). A fantastic touch.
