What visitors say
Great campsite in a really nice location. Promenade that leads all the way into Barmouth, about 25 mins steady walk from the exit of the campsite. Campsite is pretty big and was almost full when we stayed, facilities are clean if a little dated, but all good and even with a busy site, never an issue getting a shower as there are two good size toilet/shower blocks. Some people obviously use as a permanent base for their caravans, that does give you an indication how good the site and location are. Room for large and small motorhomes, campervans and tents, lots have some privacy via well located hedges. Staff are helpful and friendly, there's a shop on site with a great range of food, drink and accessories. Barmouth itself is a nice seaside town with a good mixture of shops, cafés,pubs and entertainments. Nice beach also. Overall a really good location and campsite.

A well resourced caravan, motorhome and camping site. Situated about a mile from the centre of Barmouth/Abermaw. There are log cabins also. Pitches vary from fully serviced to simply pitch your tent or caravan/Mhome off grid. Pitches are hard standing gravel or grass or both together. Two good toilet blocks, small play area, access to the beach across the railway line from North end of the site. Small shop on site for essentials. Barrier security at night. Hook ups and mains water on most sites. Good fire security. Very friendly and efficient staff. Waste and recycling is expected in set areas. Caravan and Mhome waste disposal point.

Great campsite! We visited on the 21st to the 25th April 2026. Fantastic staff, and the grounds were extremely well kept. Its a lovely quiet location even though there is a train track running along side, it's no bother at all. The trains only run hourly and stop at night. At the northern end of the campsite there is a path across the railway line to the promenade which is very scenic as you walk into town, about 20/25mins. Barmouth is a gem and seeing walking and cycling the Famous Barmouth viaduct is stunning. Cycling the Mawddach trail is a must. There's a nice little treat along the way near the wooden toll bridge, The George pub, lovely food and drink. An ideal pitstop before the scenic return journey back to Barmouth.
