Superb outdoor adventures and water sports on the doorstep in Snowdonia from a small site in Cardigan Bay.
About The Bunkorama
The Bunkorama occupies a sweet spot just outside Barmouth, where Snowdonia meets Cardigan Bay. This small, family-friendly site punches well above its weight for location—you're minutes from sandy beaches and the Mawddach Estuary, with proper mountain trails within easy reach. Dogs are welcome year-round, making it popular with active families who want quick access to coastal walks and water sports without the fuss of a big commercial park.
Facilities are straightforward rather than fancy: showers, toilets, drinking water, but no wifi or waste disposal, so you'll need to manage your own grey water. That keeps things simple and prices reasonable. It's the kind of place where the scenery does the heavy lifting, and most visitors seem perfectly content with that trade-off.

What visitors say
We had an amazing stay during last week, Graham was very accommodating and the place is absolutely gorgeous and has most things you will need! Beautiful view and comfortable bunk beds. Will definitely return! Was raining when we went but still absolutely magical!

Very unsuitable location unless you have a car. We were cyclists touring Wales and we had no choice but to push the bikes along a steep hill for over a mile. That’s not what we needed after a days hard cycling !!! It was described by the owner as a “ bit of a hill!!” I stayed in the pod which was overpriced . Damp bedding with no heating facility to dry things off a bit . The owner’s response “ it is summer !!” Well summer in Brirain is not the same as summer in Spain . Also we called for a taxi to go to town in pouring rain and the owner’s response asked us to tell the driver to wait at the bottom car park not outside the site. We were freezing and soaked . The taxi driver couldn’t figure out why and he dropped ys all the way up on our return . Sorry I didn’t share the same experience as others . But for £99 a night I could have a decent B&B in Barmouth.Regards

Stayed here for the Snowdonia Sea2Sky race and it was great. Really good location for easy access to Barmouth on foot, but a cheap taxi ride back up if that doesn't appeal. The bathrooms and showers were fantastic, the only thing that could make it better is the washing up area being slightly cleaner. Would still recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay in the pods! The views are breathtaking and made every moment unforgettable. The pod itself was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. We were so happy it’s dog-friendly too, so our pup could enjoy the trip with us. A perfect getaway – we can’t wait to come back!
