What visitors say
How were your hosts? 5 - hosts was ok and friendly How clean was it? 8 - the room was average but clean! How was the facilities? 3 - very dated. Has potential to be very nice, within 5 mins of being there the bathroom door handle fell off. Leaving me trapped in the bathroom. Shower took at least 5 mins to get hot water through. So had to have a cold shower How did you sleep? 7 - bed was comfy. There was no noise from the main road, slept well! Could have done with an extra pillow as there was only 1 each, kept falling down the gap as it was 2 singles together! How was the breakfast? 1 - the waiter was friendly and accommodating, however the breakfast itself lacked choice and taste, was told we couldn’t have bacon or sausages or anything other than eggs and beans because we didn’t order the night before. However. There was bacon there ready to be cooked because other people ordered it on the spot. And the chef seems very rude and unhelpful with this situation. There was also no communication on ordering the full English the day before, so we was clueless! Not happy

Friendly, accommodating hosts. Flexible around arrival and departure. Plenty of room for our van and friends to set-up adjacent. Zero hassle, good location for a bit of a noisy group. Tired facilities but adequate for us. Lovely green area, but right next to a main road and it is NOISY!! Its the local drag race strip, cars and motorbikes revving and hammering past on the otherside of the hedge a few meters away. Enough to rock the van. First night I barely slept. Second night some silicone earplugs and a good few beers sorted the issue.

This is our 1st visit but will not be our last. We were in the camping field, and that's what it is. A field. Water. Electric. Showers and toilets. The shower block is dated but very clean and well stocked. (Loo roll). The added bonus is its continuous hot water in the showers. ( a rarity). You have full access to the hotel bar, dining room and beautiful snug area. Sharon, Gerald and Christine are superb hosts. They provide the best customer service I have seen in a VERY long time. They go above and beyond what they need to do. If you are in this neck of the woods or looking for somewhere to stay near Barry Island I would highly recommend it.

Super friendly, super clean and only minutes away from the airport. A big thank you to Sharon, Christine and Gerald for making my stay so welcoming and truly looked after me. X
