About Premier Inn Basingstoke Town Centre

Premier Inn Basingstoke Town Centre is a modern, purpose-built hotel spread across four floors on Victoria Street, right in the heart of Basingstoke. With 84 rooms, it's a good size for a town-centre stay, offering the consistency and straightforward comfort the brand is known for, all set within easy reach of Festival Place and The Anvil.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, and guests regularly find them clean and well cooled even in warmer weather. The on-site Thyme restaurant and bar covers breakfast and evening meals, with breakfast in particular singled out as a strong point. Accessible rooms are available, there's a lift serving all floors, and 24-hour reception means arrival times are flexible. An electric vehicle charge point is also on site, though parking itself is via a chargeable nearby car park rather than on the property itself, which some visitors have found inconvenient.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and willing to help, which smooths over the practical business of a short stay. Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers pubs, restaurants and entertainment within walking distance, along with golf, fishing and horse riding nearby for those wanting to venture further afield. It's a dependable base for exploring Basingstoke without the fuss.

The staff are an absolute credit to this place, and make you feel like you’re in a 5 star resort! Especially Bobby and Suhas, the service was incredible and they really made sure my stay was great. The rooms are clean and modern, and the air con was welcome during a 35 degree heatwave 🤩

We arrived for our two night stay, and were greeted by Bobby. We have stayed at many Premier Inn's, but never had such an attentive, polite, and helpful employee like Bobby before. He really did go above and beyond to make us feel welcome, with such impeccable manners. Lovely lad! Thanks Bobby!

Bang average. For a relatively new Premier Inn this place should be better. Filthy carpets in public areas. Wobbly toilet seats. Ventilation system stinks of cigarette smoke. No one on reception for a personal greeting. Sooulless restaurant. The upside is location is great.

Very good rooms. There was a lot of door banging. The resturant needs attention Went to get dinner none in it. But had to wait one hour for table. Still no one in it. Breakfast from 7am Not true. Continental breakfast is. English from 10 am. 6 eggs etc a time now arrives. Never more than 6 of anything. Seeing as eat as much as u want. Must have to stay all day to get that.
