The Stables

The Stables comes ready for a proper stay. Everything essential is covered—heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels—plus you'll find a dishwasher, tumble dryer and washing machine, which means you can travel light. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly: electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two singles. There's a wet room with shower and heated towel rail, and a welcome pack on arrival.

This single-storey barn conversion sits on a working farm near Marksbury, just outside Bath. It has been adapted throughout with wheelchair access in mind, including a ramp to front and back, and doorways built wide. The private parking takes four cars. Beyond the enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture lies open countryside with walking routes nearby. One small or medium dog stays free.

Bath itself is a short drive away; Bristol, with its shops and restaurants, is 10 miles. Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury are both within reach for day trips, as are Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. The village shop is a quarter mile away, with a pub and restaurant at half a mile. No smoking inside.
