About Elgin Villa

Bath is best known for its Roman Baths and the Thermae Bath Spa, and Elgin Villa on Marlborough Lane puts guests within easy reach of both. This small B&B has just four rooms, making it a quieter alternative to the city's larger hotels, and parking is available for those arriving by car.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks provided, with family rooms available for those travelling with children. Breakfast is included, free WiFi covers the property, and reception is staffed around the clock. Outside, there's a garden and outdoor seating for relaxing away from the city bustle.

Beyond the Roman Baths and spa, the surrounding area offers pubs, bars and restaurants within reach, along with golf and fishing nearby and entertainment options for evenings out. It's a straightforward, well-placed base for exploring Bath without the fuss of a larger establishment.

The room/bathroom is tired but fine/clean, poor shower, nothing out of the standard B&B, parking is an added charge, tv is plugged in but has no signal, no wifi, poor breakfast (no quality breads , no fruits (only grapes), jams (only orange), chocolate spread, honey, vegan milk, margarine, dried fruits, yogurt etc. ) The hosts are lovely but "continental option" or "cooked option" and services should be better for a over 200 GBP night stay

We stayed here (me and my sister) as we were competing in the 50km Cotswold challenge and wanted to stay over in Bath. Pete and Margarite were lovely hosts, our room was clean and pleasant with tea/coffee making facilities available. We had an ensuite shower room with toilet and handwashing basin. We paid a small amount for secure parking which was behind the Villa gates at the back of the property. Breakfast consisted of cereals, juice, fruit and yogurt. There was also the addition of Scrambled eggs and toast which were lovely. A good place to stay.

I stayed here during my trip to bath. The couple that ran the establishment were very sweet. The area is not far from the city center at all. A word of warning: there is no Wi-Fi. Since I was looking to disconnect on this trip, that wasn't a problem for me. That might be a problem for some people, so want to let people know about that.
