About Battle Pods and Bells
Tucked into 460 acres of East Sussex woodland yet barely an hour from London, Battle Pods and Bells offers a proper off-grid escape with composting loos, hot showers and firepits for evening feasts. The setting is peaceful and wild, perfect for dog walks through neighbouring Battle Great Woods or simply cosying up among the trees with logs delivered daily and a beer from the local award-winning microbrewery.
Historic Battle Abbey and the 1066 battlefield are close by, while Hastings offers traditional seaside charm a short train ride away. Walkers, cyclists and riders have trails on the doorstep, and when you're done exploring, several pubs within stumbling distance serve excellent food and drink—or have pizza, curry or fish and chips delivered if you'd rather not stir from your pitch.
The only drawback? With no electricity, you'll need to embrace the off-grid vibe fully, but that's rather the point of this wooded hideaway.

What visitors say
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Belli Tent Glamping! We arrived on Thursday evening and had the entire campsite to ourselves, which made it feel so peaceful and special. The tents were spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with very comfortable beds. We were also provided with a barbecue, and it was fantastic to spend the evening grilling and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Our children had the best time, making the most of the wide open space to run around and play. They even thought taking a shower in the eco-friendly outdoor facilities was a fun adventure! The showers were clean, well maintained, and surprisingly comfortable Everyone was friendly, and it was lovely to meet so many nice people. The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind throughout our stay. Travelling with our dog, was absolutely no problem at all—she was warmly welcomed and made to feel just as much a guest as we were. We were lucky enough to experience an incredible heatwave during our stay, and one evening we watched a spectacular thunderstorm with dramatic lightning lighting up the sky. It was an unforgettable natural show and the perfect ending to a magical trip. We can't recommend Belli Tent Glamping highly enough and will definitely be back!

Fantastic nights camping. So reasonable for a gorgeous tent with bedding and picnic bench. Owners were so helpful and drove our stuff down to the tent. Parking on site but easy to get to from Battle without a car. Very responsive in the lead up with questions I had. Already looking forward to our stay next year!

We had such a lovely stay at Battle Pods and Bells! The hosts were incredibly accommodating and flexible throughout, which made everything feel very easy and relaxed from start to finish. The setting is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, tucked away, and surrounded by woodland. It really has that magical forest feel, especially in the morning and at sunset! If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, cosy, and a bit special (also with a really tasty breakfast!) this is a wonderful spot. We’d happily come back ✨

Had the loveliest stay with a large group of friends! Can't recommend this place enough. The setting is stunning, the pods and tents are in such good shape and the whole site is impeccably maintained. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts were incredibly hospitable.
