What visitors say
We had a family day at the living rainforest today and honestly some of the reviews are harsh that I’ve read on Tripadvisor. My ten year old and 4 year old had the best time there. There’s plenty of things to see if you take the time and don’t rush round. They loved the birds, tortoises, giant fish and of course the sloth! It was £65 for four of us as a family ticket which is about the standard rate for a one off day out and this price lasts an entire year. Even if you only went 1-2 times more in the year you’re getting your moneys worth. Especially in the English weather (as it’s inside) both children played outside too and enjoyed this. We didn’t eat here but did purchase drinks and ice cream which were reasonably priced. The gift shop was also extremely affordable. Both children left with a stuffed animal and something else little and it came to £19. The staff were all friendly especially the gentleman that served us at entry who explained the ways around via the map. Only thing I could mention is the carpark did have some savage potholes that could do with some shingle. In all we had an excellent day.

School trip visit. Unfortunately went during the heatwave which probably made it more uncomfortable that it needed to be. We left early as we couldn’t stretch to a full day here. Very run down and no frills the photos make it look better than it was. Had to buy a student lunch as he’d left it on the bus, no food menu displayed or prices when asked about a sandwich it was just a scrawl on a piece of paper what had been made that day (only 3 tuna sarnies as they crossed one of when I ordered). When the children went to buy an ice cream at the end their were NO prices displayed and were told to give the one we wanted to scan for prices made the whole visit to the shop longer as some children didn’t have enough for the overpriced ice creams. Wouldn’t recommend and we will not be returning. You’d spend at best 1.5-2 hours here. The play area was unkempt and in need of some attention too. Toilets dirty and needed updating also tap constantly running and wouldn’t turn off. Rather disappointing

Great place for a family trip. Free, easy parking. We had no wait to get in, there was a slight problem with the tickets where the email hadn't sent but the guy on the desk was super helpful & very friendly & it was sorted quickly. It's a lovely place to wander round, not massive but lots to see. Smallish but nice playpark outside. Cafe is good, not expensive & there is an area to eat packed lunches indoors as well as outdoors.

Stopped here on a whim as it was on our route home from a holiday. Would absolutely recommend. While it is small, it's very charming and the free roaming animals are unusual and a treat. This is the sort of place, I really don't mind spending money on and deserves love and support.
