Ilsley Farm Barns- The Downs

Rolling arable land surrounds Ilsley Farm Barns in West Berkshire, where a cluster of restored barns now serves as holiday accommodation. The Downs is the largest of these properties, a single six-bedroom house arranged over the ground floor with space to sleep up to 12 people and a private drive with parking for six cars. One well-behaved dog can stay free of charge.

Inside, an open-plan living and kitchen area leads through to six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering, with an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher and breakfast bar. Four bedrooms have en-suite walk-in showers; two further bedrooms share a bathroom and separate shower room. Heating is provided by an air source system with underfloor distribution, and bed linen and towels are supplied. Wi-Fi is available throughout.

A patio runs along the back of the property with garden furniture and a pizza oven. The working farm setting means you're genuinely in the countryside, though not remote—shops, villages and market towns are within reach. Smoking is not permitted inside.
