About Botanic Rest Bed & Breakfast
Breakfast is the sort of start that sets Botanic Rest Bed & Breakfast apart from a typical Belfast guesthouse, and there's a restaurant on site too for those who'd rather not venture out for an evening meal. It's a useful base whether you're passing through for a night or staying longer, with free WiFi throughout and a garden to sit in when the weather allows.
The property has 30 rooms, and beyond the usual B&B basics guests get access to an indoor swimming pool and a spa/sauna, extras rarely found at this scale of accommodation. Free on-site parking makes it an easy stop for anyone driving into the city rather than relying on public transport.
Botanic Rest sits on Cromwell Road in the City of Belfast area, within reach of Castle Court Shopping Centre for a spot of retail browsing. Ratings from past guests average 3.7 out of 5, reflecting a solid but not flawless stay overall.

Stayed here for one night with my friend. The twin room was small but perfect for our needs. The room was warm and very clean. The beds, although a little soft for my liking, were nonetheless comfortable. The ensuite, although small was adequate and had hot water. The location is perfect. Lots of restaurants and bars close by and regular buses into the centre. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. Although they don't advertise breakfast there was toast and cereal and tea and coffee available in the morning. A nice touch to keep you going until you get to a cafe. Although the milk was a little off the morning I was there. I would definitely stay here again.

I'd say 'you get what you pay for' but there's so little choice in Belfast it felt like it was thrust upon me. The service at check in was friendly and helpful, however the room was disappointing: the toilet waste pipe obviously wasn't sealed properly so it had an unpleasant smell and I had to keep the bathroom door closed the whole time. The cup in the bedroom had not been cleaned since the last person so I had to wash it in the bathroom sink before using it. The bedroom blind was 4 inches short so it let in light and there was a lack of privacy. There was only one pillow, which was hard and flat. But the worst thing about the stay was the 'free breakfast': toast, in a dark, bare, freezing unheated room, and accidentally drinking what turned out to be yesterday's stone cold coffee. There were spills everywhere but nothing to clean them up with. It was what I imagine breakfast in prison would be like. It would be better just to provide no breakfast at all. The location was great for the university & botanical gardens district, and could not be closer to the station, but I would not recommend getting the train to the Titanic Quarter because it's such a miserable walk from the station. Pay for a better hotel in the city centre is my advice.

TL;DR: Botanic Rest B&B in Belfast is a well-located budget stay with comfy beds but thin walls, warm rooms, and some minor quirks. Botanic Rest B&B was an adequate budget accommodation with a great location. It’s close to public transport, surrounded by food and shops, and within easy walking distance to downtown and the bus station. The bed was comfortable enough, but the room stayed overly warm even with the window open. Thin walls meant I relied on a noise app to get a good night's sleep. The shower stall leaked water all over the bathroom, the cold water tap was lukewarm, and there were no privacy placards for the door. Also, the floors have a slight slope, which was something to watch out for in the middle of the night. If you're looking for a decent budget option in a prime location and can deal with a few quirks, this is an okay choice.

Location good for us, room was a little small and more space for bags/clothes and hanging of towels would've been beneficial. It was clean, we loved the shower (pressure great and heat was perfect).
