About Tara Lodge
Cromwell Road sits within Belfast's Botanic quarter, a quiet residential street lined with red-brick townhouses just a short walk from the city centre, and it's here that Tara Lodge makes its home. The area is easy on foot, with Botanic itself only 0.20 miles away and Castle Court Shopping Centre within easy reach for anyone wanting to shop or explore further into town.
The hotel has 34 rooms that are kept spotless and well-maintained, with air conditioning and drinks available in room. A garden offers a bit of outdoor space, and there's a restaurant and bar on site alongside free WiFi, luggage storage, meeting rooms and concierge services for those who need them. Tara Lodge also caters for weddings, making it a flexible base beyond a standard overnight stay.
Breakfast is a particular strength, with a varied spread that includes options cooked to order, and the staff are consistently noted for being friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful. Free on-site parking is a further practical plus in a city where that's not always easy to come by, and the overall combination of comfort, service and location makes it good value for a Belfast stay.

What guests say
Delightful little hotel in a very convenient location. Just around the corner from a street full of pubs and restaurants, and a short stroll to the botanical gardens. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spotless, as was the rest of the establishment. Quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, and they had vegetarian options on the hot food breakfast menu. They also had no bother accommodating dietary requirements (Dairy alternatives). Fantastic value for money. I have often paid a lot more for alot less. Highly, highly recommend.

This is an excellent hotel that has high ratings for a reason. Rooms are excellent but service is incredible. All staff ensure you are well taken care of & go out of their way to make sure your needs are met. They are conveniently located in Belfast, easy walk to City Hall, Cathedral Quarter, etc. Love that they are independent & would highly recommend.

Really want to give 5 stars for all but the parking lot is very challenging as the parking lot is super small with columns in the middle, not easy for a rental car driver who’s used to drive on opposite side of the road. Breakfast is amazing, front desk lady is so helpful - we left the bags in storage prior check in, and when we came back the bags were in room already - thank you Kirsten. This is the best hotel we stayed for the weeklong Ireland trip (4 different hotels total). Location isn’t too bad, about 15 min walk to city center. I’m glad I decided this one over the titanic hotel

Great location, 20 min walk to City center. Had the friendliest reception I've ever experienced. The beds were comfortable, the showers hot with good pressure. The Breakfasts were amazing cooked to order. Had nothing to complain about. We had a double twin room, for our mother daughter trip.
