Grand Central Hotel Belfast

Overall, we had an amazing stay at the Grand Central Hotel Belfast and would definitely come back. The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, and every member of staff we spoke to was friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. A special mention has to go to a lovely young lady working at reception who was incredibly helpful and genuinely couldn't have done enough for us. She was an absolute credit to the hotel. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice, and the Observatory Bar was a lovely place to sit and relax. The views over Belfast are amazing and the cocktails were delicious. There were just a few things that stopped it from being a 5-star stay. The air conditioning in our room wouldn't go below 16°C, so the room was almost always too warm. We contacted reception twice about it, and someone came up to the room, but we were just told that it doesn't go below 16°C. It would have been nice if there had been another solution, as the room stayed uncomfortably warm for our whole stay. We were also told at reception that the Seahorse Restaurant was open and were given a menu to look through, but when we went down at around 8pm it was closed, which was a bit disappointing as we'd planned on eating there. The only other issue was that there was a brad nail sticking out by around 15mm from the door architrave in our room. It's a small thing, but it could easily catch someone's clothing or scratch them, so it's worth getting fixed. Apart from those few issues, we genuinely had a brilliant stay. The staff were fantastic, the breakfast was excellent, the Observatory Bar was a highlight, and we'd definitely recommend the Grand Central Hotel to anyone staying in Belfast.

Having stayed in numerous city center hotels across Belfast—including the Hilton, Clayton, Ten Square, and The Fitzwilliam—I can confidently say that none of them come close to Grand Central Hotel Belfast. I travel to Belfast regularly for business and have already logged around 15 nights here so far this year. At this point, I wouldn't even consider booking anywhere else in the city. Here is why this hotel stands in a class of its own: Rooms & Comfort: The rooms are consistently spotless and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the bathroom amenities are top-notch quality. City Views: If you can secure a room on one of the higher floors, do it! The views overlooking Belfast are stunning. Breakfast & Coffee: Breakfast in the morning is excellent. While I personally skip the hot options, everything else on offer is fresh and high quality—and the black coffee is hands-down amazing. Exceptional Service: The entire staff team is welcoming and professional, but a special shoutout goes to the reception team, who consistently deliver outstanding service from check-in to check-out. Whether you are traveling for business or leisure, Grand Central Hotel Belfast sets the gold standard for hospitality in the city. Highly, highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay and were thoroughly impressed with our room. It was incredibly clean and quiet. The comfortable beds made it the pertect place to unwind after a busy day. Also had a fantastic breakfast at the seahorse restaurant during our stay. The food was delicious, but the service really elevated the evening. Our waitress tiona was incredibly attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

Decided to have wee staycation here and we were thoroughly impressed. We had a sky view room which was gorgeous, spacious and clean. The staff here are some of the friendliest people you meet. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left they were incredible! The breakfast was a decent spread, it was nice to have a proper fry. All in all a lovely stay, the only thing that was missing, was a Hastings rubber duck.
