About LWR Ormeau Guest House

A restaurant serving up a varied menu and decent baked goods is one of the highlights at LWR Ormeau Guest House, an adults-only guest accommodation on the Ormeau Road in Belfast. Staff are noted for being friendly and the setting is described as cosy, with the food priced reasonably for what's on offer.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks provided, and guests can expect breakfast each morning along with the option of a packed lunch for days out. Reception operates around the clock, and free WiFi is available throughout. That said, some visitors have noted that certain amenities they expected weren't provided, so it is worth checking specifics before booking if you have particular requirements.

Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, and the location on Ormeau Road puts guests within reach of pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, as well as entertainment options. Golf and fishing are both available in the surrounding area for those wanting to get outdoors during their stay.

What a fabulous place. Rooms are basic but are extremely clean & exceeded my expectations for the price. I'd highly recommend staying here & certainly eat in. The bakery/ deli has the most amazing front of house guy 👦. You are made to feel extremely special. Fantastic

We stayed here 6/12/25. Things we liked: -They provided us the key via a code which allowed us to check in late by ourselves. -Food & drink in a mini fridge ready for us. Things we didn't like: -There was an beeping throughout the night. Like a low-battery smoke alarm but I think it was part of the security system. I messaged the owners about it (but it was late). It was quite annoying. -the room description said there would be a hairdryer available. There wasn't. My girlfriend, with wet hair, was quite annoyed. - The above 2 points I messaged the owner about at the time. I didn't think getting a response there-and-then was reasonable, because it was quite late (22:00-23:00ish). But I was hoping for an apology the next day. I was ignored. -Due to the location of our room (#1) we could hear every time anyone went to the loo/bathroom and what they were up to. -I thought it was a bit expensive for what it was. Other: -The bakery wasn't open at the times we arrived/left, I don't have an opinion on it. -Others might see 'breakfast included' and get their hopes up - but it's just a few things in the mini fridge. This suited us, since I think we left too early for normal breakfast times, but it might not suit all.

The room, although not high quality, was really clean & extremely comfortable. A fabulous place to stay & I'd recommend it. It's also in a great location. The bakery is superb. We had a lovely meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly.
