What visitors say
Wonderful campsite. So great in fact that we are visiting again next weekend. Adults only so very quiet. Lovely spacious pitches mown into long grass. Toilets are VERY nice and spotless. They smell lovely and there wasn't a single mark, splash or nasty smell in either of the toilets every time we visited them. They were cleaned regularly. I was very impressed. Showers are ok. I tried to use the one on the right but it kept going hot for 2 seconds then freezing cold. I tried many different ways of adjusting the tap to get a consistent flow of hot water but could not get it to work. The other shower with 2 taps is much better and was honestly lovely. There is also a washing up area with big sinks and hot water to clean your dishes. There is a small information hut that contains a fridge/freezer to store any food or drink in. It's plenty big enough and very clean. There are also mains sockets in here if you need to charge any devices. Overall a great campsite. It would be nice if they could offer some electric pitches but not really an issue for us if we're only staying for 2 nights.

Two very clean toilets and not much else. Lovely site for proper chilling in the middle of some fields. The electric hookups werent in the field, which is a shame. There were three fenced dog areas which is a good idea, although we were in the field in a little crop circle with the dog.

Francis Fields is the ideal campsite and we can’t wait to stay again. 5/5 stars. Everything was thoughtfully done - from the spacing and mixing of mowing and wild grasses of the pitches, to the hooks in the showers and toilets, to the well designed and clean amenities. The family that manage the site were responsive and supremely kind, going the extra mile to help us retrieve our naughty runaway dog. Beautiful views, even from the shelter of your tent or campervan. We stayed for a rainy weekend on pitch 11 in the Oak Field in a tent. The site is serene and peaceful. Great local walks, pubs and farm shops in the surrounding area. Really can’t ask for more.
