I've been here 5 or 6 times over the course of 3 years and the pool has never, on any occasion, been warm enough to sustain human core temperature for very long. Let alone a child's. In fact this pool has a long standing reputation of being cold. Anyway now the Boiler is broken.

Not much ever works. Cleaners clearly do not exist, especially in the gym. The gym is very tired and the dirtiest one I’ve ever been in. Paint flaking, mud and litter on floors (regardless of the time of day) and machinery/equipment being generally of a poor standard, plus items constantly breaking and taking months to fix. Swimming changing area is dated and showers limited and poor, either to hot and ice cold. Outside the centre is untidy and just looks neglected. However, staff in general are helpful but poorly trained. Little idea what can or can’t be done, or what is happening. There is also a staff member that repeatedly lets non paying public in. I know this as you hear them brag in the changing areas.

My daughter really enjoys her swimming lessons here and has made great progress over the course of our time. I like that it's council funded and you can turn up for a swim at any time, no need to book like Better brand gyms or swimming pool. We drive 20 mins out of our way for this swimming pool and really enjoy our time there every week.

Little splashers is great for toddlers with lots to do. Only 3 stars though for two reasons...the ceiling next to the sauna is covered in thick black mould, which worries us about other areas, and the Costa coffee could be vastly improved, by no fault of the receptionist, but the waiting time is frustrating because the receptionist had to juggle the tricky job of making coffees and reception at the same time, also no kid friendly food, would be handy!
