Tawny Owls

Tawny Owls is a ground-floor cottage that started life as a hen house on a working stud farm, converted to holiday use in 2018. It sits within Godstone Golf Club grounds with woodland behind and paddocks to the sides. The whole place is yours alone: two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles), a shower room, and an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and one well-behaved dog stays free.

The cottage has a proper kitchen with electric cooker and microwave, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. There's parking for one car on site. A sitting-out area with a bench faces the trees at the back. The location works well for walkers: a public footpath runs from the door across fields and through woodland, connecting eventually to a pub about thirty minutes on foot through Tandridge. Within a mile is Godstone village with its shops and restaurants, and a garden centre next door has a walled-garden restaurant open daytime plus Wednesday to Friday evenings. No smoking indoors.
