Imagine Play Centre

We recently held our child’s party at Imagine Play Centre in Ashford and had a mixed experience. A huge thank you to Charlie, our party host, who was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly helpful with set-up, organised, friendly, and had a brilliant rapport with the children. He genuinely helped make the party run smoothly and we cannot fault him. Unfortunately, our experience with one of the managers was disappointing. We had booked for 30 children, but on the day two guests arrived with siblings without informing us and one child who hadn’t RSVP’d also attended. We completely understand and respect the guest limit, but these additional children were genuinely outside of our control. Rather than helping us find a solution, we were told we would need to choose three children who couldn’t come into the party room. We were extremely uncomfortable with this, and after a lengthy discussion we agreed to simply see if the room could accommodate everyone. Once inside, it was clear the room was more than large enough for all 33 children, with plenty of space for parents too. This made the earlier confrontation feel unnecessary and unfortunately put a dampener on what should have been a lovely celebration. Charlie deserves a special mention for being brilliant, but the way the situation was handled by management really affected our overall experience.

I would not recommend booking your kids party here. As an adult attending someone else’s party the way the staff treated the parent of the birthday child was awful. One particular staff member was very rude to her twice, the first occasion was due to a simple request if the food could be provided any earlier as the children were starving. Absolutely no problem if it couldn’t be, but the reply was aggressive. The second was when a child had not been put down for a lunch, no one had been blamed but the staff member was so quick to say it wasn’t her fault. The child just needed some food, instead there was a long conversation about who was to blame. Then when the children did get to eat they were sent to the hottest room and rushed to eat their lunch. The lights were dimmed and the cake brought out before the kids had eaten half their meals. Which was then thrown away, such a waste of food. From the staff interactions I saw I will never consider spending hundreds on my kids party to be treated so badly.

Love that you pay and can stay for as long as you want. No specific time slots. And the building is secure so don't have to worry about your children leaving if you can't see them

Took our grandson 2½yr to imagine during term time and it was very nice as there wasn't that many children there. Went there in school holidays and it was packed with a very long queue and one person checking people in. Imagine is great to go to during term time if you have a younger kiddy as theres no chance of them being balled over by older kids. Very clean, staff very helpful and pleasant. I strongly suggest to imagine that at you most busy times is to put a second person on the till so the queue isn't waiting so long. Also if you dont already have a time limit for play, so you have a nice turnover of guests and spreading the intake of people and kids.
