Wakefield House - Apartment 3 - The Patricia Suite

Photo: Wakefield House Apartments

The Patricia Suite is a self-contained apartment on the second floor of a converted building in central Blackpool, moments from the seafront attractions. Walking in, you enter an open-plan living space with dining area and kitchen flowing together, furnished for comfortable family stays. The arrangement means everything is on one level—no stairs once you're upstairs—with two bedrooms and two bathrooms to hand.

One bedroom has a double bed with an ensuite shower; the other contains two zip-and-link single beds (configurable as a kingsize). The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge-freezer. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. There is a public car park 350 yards away. No smoking inside.

The location puts Blackpool Tower, Winter Gardens and Central Pier within a short walk, with the tram stop nearby for trips further along the coast. Stanley Park, the town's Grade II-listed green space, offers gardens and a boating lake if you want a quieter spell. The apartment suits families or small groups exploring the seafront, though remember Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Sandcastle are around 30 minutes away on foot.

I'm on holiday from Australia. I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Wakefield House Hotel. Craig and Kayleigh are excellent hosts. Their knowledge of Blackpool is fantastic. They did the perfect breakfast and the rooms and ensuites are spotless. Great price for my stay.

Just had another great weekend staying at the Wakefield. Fantastic as only a 2 minute walk to pubs and shops and Tower. Very clean room and delicious breakfast and friendly owners. Booked to go again in October. Sue and Gill , York

50/50 on this one. Would I go back. Probably not. As expected the room was small but the worst part was the mattress was too small for the base and myself and my partner kept banging our legs against the base. Came back with a number of small bruises to the shin. Breakfast wasn't too bad, however a choice of eggs would have been better than just serving them fried. The other negative here is that there is a dog living at the property and my partner seen it in the dining room area.

We stayed here as a family of 5. We were greated by a very friendly couple who make you welcome. The room was a good size for all 5 of us. Breakfast was tasty and you could choose from cereal to a full English. Any questions or help needed about the area they were more than happy to explain and help with directions. Great value for money and would definitely stay here again.
