This is far from being a hotel shabby damaged and grubby decorations. Bulgarian owner young does not understand English well, no reception. Main door and room door not very secure. No food or bar facilities. When asked if room was damaged told it is fine, on inspection and informing owner who seemed annoyed to be disturbed was gruff and dismissive also when asking if the TV had streaming services as it is advertised on website, told No what do you expect for this price. £103.50 for 4 nights Rm 201 single traveler male over 60. This was over priced for the facilities mor like worth £15 per night at best. Good points lights work hot water clean towels. This place is a last resort option not a place to look forward to visiting, I would not recommend it and definitely not for females or families. The website is probably from previous owner and is not reflective of reality, be aware.

Awful stay – I would definitely not return. The entrance smelled strongly of cat urine, the carpets were filthy, and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The overall condition of the property was very poor and did not match my expectations. I left an honest review on Booking.com and included photo evidence to support my comments. Rather than addressing the issues raised, the owner responded by calling me a liar, which I found unprofessional and disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here

Booked this for my grandfather's stay in Blackpool and his experience was awful he couldn't check in and had to walk out. Hotel was covered in dirt, not clean, dirty bedsheets, bin in the room overflowing with cans from previous guest. Wardrobe door was hanging off the hinges. Carpet was manky and wallpaper peeling off the walls. He couldn't stay there for more than 5 minutes, they refused to give a refund and he had to book elsewhere. It is a shame as we stayed here years ago and it was a lovely family run place, unsure when it went downhill.

Beware, Chaplins Hotel is fraudulent. They charged the reservation suddenly already months before the payment day and they are not answering any messages and after canceling the reservation they are not canceling or refunding the reservation charge.
