About The Sonora Park Hotel
The Sonora Park Hotel occupies a classic Blackpool terraced building on Albert Road, the kind of solid, unfussy townhouse structure typical of the resort's seafront streets. It's a straightforward, comfortable base rather than a grand hotel, and works well for guests who want to be close to the action without paying for extras they won't use.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks facilities, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. Some rooms are on the compact side, so it suits guests who don't need much space to spread out. A full English breakfast is served each morning and is one of the highlights of a stay, and free WiFi, 24 hour reception and luggage storage are all included for convenience. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, adding to the sense of good value for the price.
The location is a genuine strength, with the Tower and other central Blackpool attractions within easy reach, along with the beach itself. Nearby you'll find pubs, bars, restaurants and eateries, plus entertainment venues for evenings out. For those wanting to get further afield, golf, fishing, cycling routes, walking areas and watersports are all accessible in the surrounding area. Parking is available on site.

My husband, 5 year old and 3 year old turned up to check in to Senora Park Hotel for two nights at 8pm. We rang the “ring” door bell and no answer, we waited and kept pressing the door bell with no answer. We had paid in full for two nights - they had taken our money and approved check in. We were pressing the door bell and knocking for ten minutes. Still no answer. As we are from Australia, we can’t make phone calls so I had to contact a relative to ring and ask why there was no one there… they were told the owner had sold and closed up.. we tried the number on the front of the hotel and it was disconnected… there were people inside playing pool, who refused to acknowledge us or help. It was so disappointing. We had to ring around to book another hotel for the next two dates. We probably won’t get our money back which is extremely unfair. We are very upset with the lack of communication and assistance and this has still not been resolved. Do not book this hotel! I believe they are not in business and are still taking money/bookings.

Stayed in room 15, was adequate just for me, but would have struggled for space if there was 2 of us. Bedding and towels were all clean, as was the room. The only downside which is of no fault of the hotel, was it gets very noisy at night outside. Would stay again. And it was good for a last minute get away xx

Truly awful. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Checked in by a member of staff and that was the last we seen or heard anyone working there. Will start with the room, small and cramped, shower in room was faulty, reported it to the gentleman who checked us in and he didn't care, all he said was " Yeah i know, I need to fix that". We purposly booked a room with an ensuite so we didnt have to use the communal shower as we have two yong girls, 8 and 13. Off to a great start i thought, nice touch with the towels on the bed and some toiletries apart from the fact the towels were damp asked for new towels and was given more damp towels, seriously what the heck. WiFi is non existent, no signal anywhere in the hotel, friends staying in another room didn't have WiFi either so our room wasn't in a blackspot. Room is dirty, hair in the shower, stains on the towels, mould everywhere, 2 double sockets not working in the room leaving 1 single socket free and the other single socket having the WiFi extender plugged in, ironically as useful as an inflatable dartboard. The other parts of the hotel were closed, no bar, no family lounge and no staff, we were checked in and the dumped, no staff anywhere for the 3 nights we were here. Would have liked a breakfast in the morning but not even an option. And finally a sign with a phone number for the manager, who never answered, if you had any queries. The hotel was cheap so didn't expect much but none of the advertised features were available, jeez they should have paid us to stay there. The only good point was the location, central and easy walking distance to the tower and the attractions. Middle of August and in peak season and the hotel was dead. Others have left good reviews and I'm happy they got lucky and had a fab time but I for one will never stay here again.
