About Forshaws Hotel - Blackpool
A morning fry-up and an evening pint are both covered at Forshaws Hotel, with breakfast and a bar on site alongside a snack bar for guests who want something lighter. The hotel sits on Talbot Square in Blackpool, close enough to the seafront and North Pier to walk to both, with the Tower, Winter Gardens and central attractions all within easy reach along with the trams that link the town together.
There are 90 rooms across four floors, each en-suite with drinks available in room, and some with sea views. A lift serves all floors, accessible rooms are available, and free WiFi and air conditioning are standard throughout. Staff are consistently described as polite and helpful, though some rooms have been reported as tired in places, with heating that doesn't always perform as it should - worth bearing in mind if visiting out of season.
Pets are welcome, luggage storage is available for those arriving early or leaving late, and there's no on-site parking, so plan accordingly if driving. Beyond the hotel, the area offers golf, fishing, watersports, cycling and walking routes, plus a good spread of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby for evenings out.

Hotel does not reflect the pics. Entrance to the hotel was rundown, skirting board fallen off dirty and unclean. Awful rooms. Bad smell and Unclean. Walls stained. Carpets are horrendous, ripped and stained. Windows screwed shut, in the first room, i had to change rooms, when i was being asked what was wrong he even stated to me is it the smell! In the next room that window was bust and random bits of metal screwed on to keep it open. I needed to ask for cleaning products to clean the room myself definitely what I book a hotel to do. I hate leaving negative reviews and only offer structured feedback . However I was so disappointed. Other hotels were booked due to it being pride otherwise I would have left and gone somewhere else. Other guests were saying the same as me so I’m guessing all the rooms are just as bad

In arrival we had to go into a lift which smelt funny. The receptionist was very pleasant. Went to our room on entry it was like walking into a sauna 30° the radiator was on. Opened the window whoch was by the kitchen fans do the room stuck of chip fat enough to make you heave. There was no room in the actual room small notjing like photos on website. The batbroom was disgusting. Shower plug had all grim in it. Toilet had all bits and cloudy water. The smoke alarm in the room didnt even have a cover over it. I would not recommend this place at all.

AVOID! Not sure where to start, but just don’t stay here. I have hardly slept; this hotel is disgusting. Having travelled all over the world and around the UK, in a new city every week for work, I have stayed in 100s of hotels… and this may be the worst. The front desk were lovely and welcoming, but their warm smiles can’t offset the disgraceful room. Cleanliness zero (stains, hairs in bathroom, dirt in every corner and on every surface), TV didn’t work, wind whistling through the broken windows all night, curtain stick back with masking tape, breakfast also appalling, and they try to charge extra for non-instant coffee! There has obviously been some money spent on the hallways, foyer and doors, but it needs a lot of work to bring rooms to even a 1* standard. The photos of the hotel online are mainly AI and extremely misleading. Booked through RoomEx for business and would not recommend - I went to a coffee shop to work as couldn’t even stand working in the room.

We’ve been staying here for the odd night for years, it’s in a great location and I’ve always found the staff to be extremely polite and accommodating. This may have been our last visit though, in brief and only the highlights, we were in the middle of a heatwave and the AC wasn’t working, the windows wouldn’t open and we woke in the morning to discover bedbugs. That was the deal-breaker! I’ve never noticed before but there are no mattress protectors on the beds either. I didn’t think to take photos, we were out of there faster than I’ve ever moved before and made a complaint to reception on the way out. Upon returning home I requested (and received) a full refund. The standards have been dropping over the last couple of years and the hotel is getting a bit tired, we won’t be returning unless the much talked about internal refurbishment is completed and new beds are supplied complete with mattress protectors and perhaps more than one plug socket to a room!
