About Jesmond Dene Hotel

Jesmond Dene Hotel occupies a classic terraced building typical of Blackpool's guest house streets, on St Chads Road. It's a modest, welcoming setup rather than a grand hotel, with the kind of straightforward comfort that suits a seaside break.

Rooms are en-suite, including family options, and guests have access to a bar, a games room and drinks available in the room for those who'd rather stay in of an evening. Breakfast is included, free WiFi covers the property, and there's outdoor seating for warmer days. Practical touches like 24 hour reception and luggage storage make arrivals and departures easy, and parking is available for those driving up.

The location puts guests within reach of Blackpool Tower and Pleasure Beach, with pubs, bars and restaurants nearby for evenings out. Walking and cycling routes are close by too, along with golf, fishing and watersports for anyone wanting to fill the day with something more active before heading back for a drink at the bar.

We recently stayed at the Jesmond Dene Hotel in Blackpool and can honestly say that it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by the staff, who were friendly, professional, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their warm and approachable attitude really made a difference and added a personal touch to our stay. When we entered our room, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. The room was clean, well-presented, and had plenty of space to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring Blackpool. One of the first things we noticed was the huge TV, which was a great addition and perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The beds deserve a special mention because they were some of the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in. They were incredibly cosy and provided a fantastic night's sleep. After long days out and about, it was wonderful to come back to such a comfortable room and be able to completely relax. Breakfast each morning was another highlight of our stay. There was a fantastic selection of food available, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and served with care. It was the perfect way to start the day and really reflected the high standards maintained throughout the hotel. What impressed us most was the overall attention to detail and the genuine hospitality shown by everyone working there. It's clear that the staff take great pride in ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience, and that effort certainly doesn't go unnoticed. Overall, our stay was beyond anything we expected. The combination of the spacious room, exceptionally comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, and outstanding customer service made for a truly memorable visit. We would not hesitate to recommend the Jesmond Dene Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Blackpool. We will definitely be returning in the future and can confidently give it a well-deserved 5 stars from us.

Whilst it is clear this is not an obviously bad hotel based on other reviews although many of them speak of the previous owners, of course I can only speak from our experience. We arrived and our room had a terrible smell of damp, which really overpowered the room and got into the bed sheets too. There was also a patch of mould on the ceiling, and when we contacted the owner about this she told us she was aware of it, but it was "not dangerous"... Not sure I believe that, since when was any kind of mould safe. The lamps and the fan were absolutely caked in thick dust too. However the owner proceeded to say that we could not be moved as she was fully booked, despite the sign in the window saying "Vacancies". It's a shame as it could be a good place to stay with some work, but unfortunately our experience on this occasion was not up to a scratch.

Good and bad. Everything you wants there. Bad. Cigarettes burns and dirty bed sheets pillow etc side of shower tray outside. Needs sticking on. Cut my foot badly twice. No clean towels change each day. It's OK for price. ROOM NUMBER 2....... UO STAIRS.......
