About The Aberford

Walk into one of the 20 rooms at The Aberford and you get a straightforward base for a Blackpool break, though it's fair to say the rooms themselves can be a little tired in places rather than freshly finished. What guests can rely on is a proper start to the day, with a substantial breakfast that includes a Halal full English option among the choices on offer.

Beyond the bedrooms, the property keeps things simple but functional: a bar for an evening drink, free WiFi throughout, luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures, and a 24 hour reception so guests can come and go as they please. Staff are consistently described as friendly and ready to help, which counts for a lot on a short seaside stay.

The Aberford sits on Yorkshire Street in Blackpool, Lancashire, within easy reach of Blackpool Tower, and Blackpool South station is around a mile away. Free on-site parking is available, making it a convenient option for anyone arriving by car and wanting easy access to the town's main attractions without paying over the odds.

My recent visit to the Aberford Hotel was a truly delightful experience. It is evident that since the hotel has come under new ownership, considerable dedication and effort have been invested in enhancing both the ambiance and the overall guest experience. The new proprietors are doing an admirable job of fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere where every request is met with graciousness. Their enthusiasm and commitment to making the hotel an exceptional place to stay are genuinely palpable. A particularly noteworthy aspect is its affordability. The hotel provides excellent value for money, especially when considering the high standard of service and comfort offered. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a coastal retreat without being overly expensive. It is an ideal choice for couples, friends, or anyone seeking an economical base. The location is another significant advantage. Positioned centrally in Blackpool, it offers convenient access to the promenade, various attractions, and vibrant nightlife, all within a short walking distance. Everything one might desire is practically at your doorstep, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the local area. In conclusion, the Aberford Hotel is clearly experiencing a resurgence. With dedicated new owners, remarkable value, and a prime location, it is a place I would gladly revisit and wholeheartedly recommend to others.

I would give all the stars in the universe to this hotel and staff if i could. I arrived at the hotel on the evening of april 17th only to discover that my reservation through booking.com was a sham due to a data breach. The hotel manager sat with me for nearly an hour trying to help me resolve my issue. After getting nowhere with booking.com the hotel owner offered me a room for the night at no cost, all i had to do was hand over my ID for the night and i collected it back when handing over the keys the following morning. I tried to offer to pay for the room in cash but they refused to take the money from me. I highly recommend this hotel to everybody, but dont use booking.com, book with the hotel directly

We were slightly apprehensive when we booked to stay here, but we couldn't have been more wrong! Yes, it's not the Hilton, but for a hotel in Blackpool it's top notch! From the moment we got there, the team could not have been more helpful. Our room on the ground floor was comfy and most importantly, impeccably clean. Good quality bedding and the towels were NOT like sandpaper! The hotel itself is a stone's throw from the Golden Mile, which is a bonus. The team that run this hotel really are an asset. They could not be more accommodating. We'd like to give a special mention to Karen and Rick, who made us feel right at home and were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also really, really good, with a great selection on offer, that was freshly cooked and really tasty. We'll definitely stay here again!
