About The Royal Windsor Hotel
Blackpool's Central Promenade is where much of the resort's action plays out, and The Royal Windsor Hotel occupies a spot right along it, putting the seafront and the town's attractions within easy walking distance. It's a straightforward, budget-friendly base rather than a polished retreat, with on-site parking a useful bonus for those driving up.
Rooms are en-suite, with family rooms available and some offering sea views, plus drinks and room service on request. That said, maintenance is inconsistent across the hotel, and hot water isn't always reliable, so it suits guests after a no-frills stay rather than a pampered one. Breakfast is served on site, and there's a bar and games room for evenings in, alongside meeting rooms and business services for those visiting on other business. Staff are generally helpful, and pets are welcome.
Beyond the hotel, the promenade offers walking and cycling routes, watersports, fishing and golf nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach. It's a practical choice for exploring Blackpool without spending heavily on accommodation.
What guests say
AVOID THIS PLACE!!! WARNING: SCAM!!! The company appears to be registered under what may be fictitious individuals. The beds are falling apart, the cabinets are broken, the shower reeks of urine, the floors are uneven, and the so-called parking area can hardly be called a parking lot. You're only informed about the security deposit upon arrival, and the bar accepts cash only. You are required to leave your car keys at reception so the staff can move your vehicle. The staff damaged my property and then refused to cover the repair costs, despite having agreed beforehand to pay for the repairs and confirming this directly with the repair shop. They also refused to provide their insurance policy number or the owner's contact details. STAY AWAY. AVOID THIS PLACE. WARN OTHERS!!! Where do I start: 2 night stay- * Cash deposit, for stains/ damages. * Random folk can enter then attempt to glass someone in front of kids, security is little to none. * Cash only bar, I’m all for keeping cash going but should have a card option. * No hot water * No offer of basic hotel shower gel. * Drying towels that are falling to bits. * Staff cannot be trusted. * Front door unlocked all night, anyone has access to rooms off the street. * Offer of breakfast yet that’s a lie too as they’ve no chef. * my toilet seat has more hygiene than the beds in this place. * Bed was soaked on the Saturday near feet end, clearly a leaking pipe. * Sarcastic staff, no professionalism in any way shape or form.

Well the reviews certainly paint a different picture for this hotel. However we had a great stay. Clean beds, clean shower, cheap as chips and a great location. What more do you need, The lady at reception was really helpful. We will definitely be staying again.

We have just stayed here this weekend,(well 1 nite) room 19 we woke this morning to shower freezing cold was fine last nite. Spoke with the manager who stated the whole hotel had no hot water and we wernt to run any has it was leaking into main entrance area. Couldnt even be moved to another room due to the fact the hotel had no hot water anywhere. The manager said he had contacted the owner as he couldnt do anything about it, an hour past by still nothing asked for deposit back and we were departing the hotel today. His reply "ok" he wasnt very helpful at all. Come to Blackpool 3-4 times a year would never ever stay here again would definitely not recommend.
