About The Chimes on the sea

Blackpool's Promenade is the natural base for anyone visiting the resort, and The Chimes on the sea sits right along it, putting the seafront and the town's attractions within easy reach. This is a straightforward, unpretentious B&B with 15 rooms, some of which look out over the sea.

Rooms are simple and comfortable rather than showy, and guests have use of a bar and free WiFi throughout their stay. Breakfast is served on-site, and there's a restaurant along with a lift for those who'd rather not use the stairs. Beyond the basics, the property also offers a gym, a spa and sauna, a garden, and laundry and luggage storage services, useful for anyone stopping over for a few nights on the way to or from other plans.

Free on-site parking makes driving up straightforward, and the location on the Promenade puts pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues nearby within walking distance. It's a practical choice for a Blackpool break, geared towards ease rather than extras.

We stayed for 3 nights over my birthday weekend. The welcome was lovely, customer service was amazing. We booked a small double room for £88. To be honest, this is a small room - The staff knew about it being a special occasion so upgraded us free of charge to a double room with sea view and honestly it made the stay! It was a lot bigger, larger TV and a gorgeous view. There was the odd few things that were dated, worn & broken - however, you get what you pay for. These did not affect our stay at all. Thank you for the lovely stay!! We will be back!!

Was a bit unsure of this place due to some of the recent negative reviews. However this place was clean, comfy and affordable. The staff were polite and very helpful. Our room was spotless and had all the necessities we needed. The location is fab as it’s located on the main Promenade. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely host.Pity this hotel doesn't reflect it's owner. We have never stayed in Blackpool in a worse place virtually everything you touched was ready to come off in your hand and we have pictures. This hotel was dirty and worn out and needs a major overhaul, cards in the hallway stating how much people have enjoyed there stay we find hard to believe. The second room we we're offered was slightly better but still small and unfortunately my partner fell through lack of space and now has a real black eye after heavy contact with the sliding toilet door. This is definitely not a hotel we will return to.

After reading previous reviews I was in two minds whether to cancel or not but so glad we didn't. Management nice and polite.Clean and tidy, smells so fresh when you walk through the door, comfy beds and one of the best showers I've come across in Blackpool. Perfect location 👌 will definitely be our no1 Hotel now for future stays 😁😁
