About Tres Bon Hotel

Tres Bon Hotel occupies a terraced building on Trafalgar Road, a short distance from Blackpool Tower, and offers the kind of straightforward, no-frills accommodation typical of small seafront-town guesthouses. It's a modest property rather than a grand one, with family rooms available and a bar on site for guests who fancy a drink without heading out.

Facilities are simple: breakfast is included, there's 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals, and drinks can be brought to your room. Parking is available, which is a useful plus in this part of Blackpool. That said, standards here are inconsistent, so guests should expect basic comfort rather than polish.

The location works well for exploring on foot, with pubs, bars, restaurants and eateries all within easy reach, plus entertainment nearby for evenings out. Walking and cycling routes are close by, and golf, fishing and watersports can all be found in the surrounding area for those wanting to venture a little further.

We weren't looking for much out of this place as we were just 2 lads looking for a place to crash after a footy match but the standard of the hotel was a health risk. We weren't given correct instructions about where to check in and the phone number we were given went straight to voicemail for hours. The staff were dismissive and verging upon rude when arrived 30 mins early to check in. When we finally managed to get a room it was revolting but we decided we would put up for it for the night. This was until we tried to leave the room and the door wouldn't lock and we had to begin the battle to get help once again. After the staff dealt with a couple more displeased customers we got given a new room. A room with visible mould and dampness, a smashed window, an overwhelming stink of cigarettes, plug sockets that were ripped from the wall, dirty sink and mugs and peeling wallpaper. The beds were too small with dirty, stained bedding. The shared bathroom was a complete mess and the door wouldn't even lock. A diabolical experience all round.

Appalling place ended up losing the head with the rudest women ever. Overheard her telling hotel owner on phone that she really didn't want aus there as she thought we were trouble. I was venting my anger and frustration because they didn't have the room for my daughter that they said they had. Offered alternative room at a better hotel but if we wanted to go there our room would be double. There was damp mould on walls on stairs and in room that was booked never ever book here even if your desperate.

Technically we didn't stay here. From the moment we pulled up we decided we wouldnt be staying. One off the first things we seen was the cleaner peeing at the front door. This was confirmed when we went to cancel, the inside was worse than poor. It looked like it hadn't ever been cleaned. If you are staying for one or two nights and are doing nothing but drinking, this may pass. If you're a family avoid this place if you can.
