About Quarry Farm

Tucked into a fruit farm in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Quarry Farm is an adults-only site near Bodiam that rewards those who linger. The Hub – the on-site café and farm shop – serves up delicious breakfasts (think banana waffles and full English plates) alongside excellent coffee, with friendly staff and spotless facilities that guests consistently praise. Between December and Easter the Hub closes, so plan accordingly.

When it's open, though, the Hub becomes a gateway to an impressive menu of activities: paddleboarding, kayaking, foraging, wild swimming, even triathlon training and wild cocktail creation classes. There's also a wellness centre offering yoga, Pilates and spa treatments (book directly with the Hub). Water sports pause in winter, but year-round you can ramble five minutes across fields to Bodiam's Kent and East Sussex Railway station and catch the steam train to Tenterden's shops and eateries.

With just non-electric grass pitches and a small, intimate scale, this is camping that favours simplicity and immersion in a genuinely special landscape.

We visited The Hub with my family for a late vegetarian breakfast, and it was absolutely delicious and fresh. The coffee was excellent, and there’s a lovely little farm shop inside. Everything was clean, including the toilets, and the place has a great style. The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. It’s a family- and dog-friendly spot, which I really appreciated. I was especially impressed by how beautifully they prepared for Halloween! A fantastic place worth visiting — my new favourite spot.

We live fairly locally and have been coming here sporadically for the past couple of years. Unfortunately, yesterday's visit was quite disappointing. My wife is gluten intolerant and ordered the healthy salad with halloumi. She ended up with abdominal pain for the rest of Saturday afternoon, so I do wonder whether there may have been some cross-contamination in the kitchen. More concerning, though, was the £7.50 children's lunchbox. The sandwich contained extremely stale bread and had a "prepared by" label from the previous morning. While the staff were happy to exchange it, they wouldn't offer a refund. Charging £7.50 for what was essentially an inedible day-old sandwich, a mini juice box, a tiny apple and a packet of Pom-Bear crisps in a plain brown paper bag - with no activities such as stickers or crayons - simply doesn't represent good value. I'd estimate the contents cost the establishment little more than £1. We've always enjoyed visiting in the past, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. I hope these issues are addressed, as we'd like to continue supporting a local business.

Our first visit. Great welcome. Staff so helpful, especially with allergies. Very reasonable prices. The food was fresh, vibrant and great quality. Only 5 minutes walk from our steam train excursion. Absolutely perfect.

Repeat visit number 4. Still outstanding service and food in a pleasant setting near to Bodiam Castle and the steam railway. Nice atmosphere on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Ample portions and cater for Gluten Free diet. Breakfast items served all day. Coupled with iced coffee and a refreshing summer smoothie.
