What visitors say
A wonderful nature reserve with plenty of differing habits offering to chance to see a great variety of wildlife. There are several well defined circular routes to follow using the well maintained paths. A great place to spend as many hours as you feel and enjoy the wildlife.

A great place to walk round. An easy to follow trail leading you to a handful of hides. Great views of all the lakes on a clear day. Decent sized car park. Free to RSPB members, £4 for others.

Gets quite busy on weekends, so be prepared to not find parking in the RSPB carpark. Middleton Hall do have their own carpark with a £3 suggestion but if you have an RSPB card you'd be better off trying to park in the RSPB carpark as you'd get it free but an overall nice place to visit, you can always find a nice area to enjoy the birds so even though the main area with the cafe gets busy the reserve nevers feels overcrowded

Really nice day out. A few paths you can take, around the Wetlands, around the meadows or down the canal. When we visited there was a couple of RSPB staff on site who were very friendly. The bird hides are all well kept with a great variety of birds to see. Parking is £4 all day for non-member's, free for members. We weren't members when we visited but were by the time we got home.
