This was my first visit in 13 years. The staff were very friendly, and there were several new pieces, as well as classic old ones. And I learned some interesting stuff about Lancaster Canal, that I didn't know before.

A lovely museum to visit. Lancaster Maritime Museum is small but full of fascinating history and stories about the city's connection to the sea. The displays are wel presented, and it's a peaceful place to spend an hour or two. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Lancaster.

Such a shame the museum is only open weekdays from 12:00 noon Monday & Friday (as well as weekends). The staff are so knowledgeable they certainly add to any visit here. Highly recommended and free entry to local residents.
