Beautifully kept site with pods and pitches. Excellent facilities and shop and very friendly staff. Location is great, 2 local pubs and 2 either way when you head out to the road by short walk. Lovely hikes close by including the Hardknott Pass

This is an absolutely gorgeous campsite. Beautiful views, smashing little shop and several local pubs, to say nothing of the walking opportunities. We hit a rock on the site and damaged the car and the lady in the office could not have been more helpful, sympathetic and just lovely. I didn't get her name but many thanks again if you read this.

This is beautiful campsite, in a quieter part of the lakes, but I especially wanted to mention Jo who worked there. She went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely time, gave us directions to a nearby waterfall and printed out a map so we wouldn't get lost. She was always friendly and ready for a quick chat in between being busy. It really felt like she cared, which is rare to find. Facilities were spot on and there was tea, coffee and fresh pastries available every morning. Couldn't be happier!

Lovely campsite, good clean and warm facilities. Staff friendly. Some people were walking dogs off lead despite the request to keep on lead on site…other than that it was lovely with great walks from site.
