Bridge End Farmhouse
Cumberland
Bridge End Farmhouse is a 400-year-old stone farmhouse with period details throughout: oak beams, flagstone floors, and panelling that have survived centuries. The ground floor opens into a living room with a woodburner (logs provided), a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and the usual appliances. Upstairs are four bedrooms: one kingsize with an ensuite roll-top bath, one further kingsize, and two rooms with single beds each. A family bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower completes the layout.
The farmhouse stands within its own grounds on the wider 2-acre site. You have an enclosed lawned garden with patio and terrace, garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals. Private parking for three cars is on site, and there's a bike store if you arrive with cycles. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included; a washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the utility room. The location is deep in Eskdale, reached via Birker Moor—a drive that brings views of Scafell, Scafell Pike and Great Gable into focus. One dog is welcome. No smoking indoors.
