La Di Da Hotel beach town

Spent 6 nights here for business. Local pubs and cinema down the road. Chanine is honest and can’t fault the premises. Clean and provides all amenities. It’s a very big house ! Your only downside is a city centre atmosphere. Can’t blame any hotel for where it is or who lives nearby. Always felt safe and secure. You’re still in Bournemouth 😅 Will be back when I can Chanine ! Extremely distressing stay – do not recommend We stayed here over Christmas while looking for a flat after recently getting engaged. At first the place seemed lovely, but the experience quickly became stressful and upsetting. Unknown men were allowed to stay without explanation, there was a constant strong smell of weed, no proper security, and the host was largely unreachable as she was abroad for most of our stay. Cleaners who were meant to attend regularly barely showed up, leaving us to do everything ourselves. On Christmas Eve at 3am, a fire alarm shut down the power and the fire brigade attended. The room that triggered the alarm was empty, and we were left awake for hours on Christmas morning because the alarm couldn’t be reset without the owner’s permission — who couldn’t be contacted. On Christmas Day, all keys (including ours) were suddenly removed and hidden without warning, leaving us locked out of our room. Explanations kept changing, including being told a “spider” caused the alarm. We were repeatedly blamed for issues we didn’t cause, including noise complaints and a supposed negative review that doesn’t appear to exist. We were then suddenly told to leave with almost no notice because the host’s family were arriving, despite having a long-term booking. Heating was inadequate, the oven emitted strong chemical smells and became unusable, and this even made our dog unwell. When we left under pressure late at night, we still cleaned as much as we physically could (I am on crutches), but the host later accused us of theft and demanded £155 for cleaning, despite items being left for cleaners and no damage being done. We were also subjected to inappropriate, sexist comments and the host overstepped into our personal lives. This was meant to be a safe, comfortable place and turned into an exhausting, intimidating experience. Absolutely not the “amazing quality” stay it claims to be. Do not stay here.

This is a highly unprofessional set-up, bordering on fraud. We booked a treasured family vacation here earlier this year, based on the lovely photographs provided online and a handful of positive reviews (which in hindsight appear fake). That was a huge mistake. We were shunted down to a lower ground floor accommodation that was dark, dingy and dilapidated. My children injured themselves getting around the terrible property. We sent a complaint to Booking.com through whom we had booked this accommodation, but there was absolutely no response. Eventually, we left the accommodation and had to book another property in the middle of our holiday, at a huge cost to us. Shame on you Booking.com for having such a property advertised on your website. You are complicit in this shambolic set-up and should be called Crooked.com. As for La Di Da apartments, you need to be reported to the police as an unscrupulous vendor and your license revoked. Avoid this accommodation – it is not fit for purpose. POST SCRIPT: Today (7 Dec 2025), La Di Da finally replied to my review with this terse message: "Your name has never checked in, not on our register". MY RESPONSE: La Di Da Hotel, please see below details of my wife's booking with you, which we also emailed to Booking.com on Monday 25 August (along with pictures of your sub-standard accommodation) the day we vacated your property after a weekend from hell. Name of apartment: La Di Da Hotel beach town (One-Bedroom Apartment) Dates booked: Saturday 23 August to Saturday 30 August 2025 Amount paid: £1,197 Booking confirmation: 4738.039.467 Pin Number: 5369 Of course, the fact that you are pretending to not know who I am does not surprise me. It further underlines the kind of unscrupulous business you run. I have little to no hope of ever receiving the money we paid you, but I hope my review saves other unsuspecting holiday makers from falling into your trap. You deserve to be investigated and shut down.

I have just received a reply stating that my review is “fake.” For clarity, my review is absolutely genuine. I am part of a group of customers who have been waiting for a refund since June. It is concerning that you are actively responding to Google reviews yet have not addressed the multiple emails sent by members of our group, nor have you processed the refunds owed to us. I would appreciate a prompt and transparent resolution to this matter.
