Riverside touring park between Bournemouth and Christchurch, around six miles from the seafront

About Meadowbank Holidays

Meadowbank Holidays occupies a peaceful riverside spot between Bournemouth and Christchurch, roughly six miles from the coast, with landscaped grounds that slope gently down towards the water. The park caters primarily to touring caravans and motorhomes rather than tents, and its location provides straightforward access to Bournemouth's beaches, Christchurch, Mudeford and the Sandbanks peninsula. On-site fishing along the riverbank sets it apart from most coastal touring parks in the area, while mature planting and tidy flowerbeds keep the setting pleasant throughout the season.

The Kingfisher Cafe offers uncomplicated breakfasts and casual meals without leaving the park, suited to visitors who prefer a settled base over constant activity. Meadowbank operates as a pet-free site—unusual among Bournemouth-area touring parks—making it a deliberate choice for those who'd rather holiday without dogs nearby. This calm, semi-rural position between town and coast, combined with the fishing and cafe, works well for couples and families touring by caravan or motorhome who want a quiet foothold within easy reach of both the seafront and the New Forest.

Fantastic site. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful. She was also warm and friendly when I made my booking over the phone. The site is absolutely spotless and very well looked after, with excellent wash facilities, a games room which my boys loved, and an outdoor play area. I loved the flowers everywhere and the goldfish pond as well. It was very quiet and peaceful in the evenings, too. £44 for two nights inclusive of EHU was, in my view, incredible vale for a Bank Holiday weekend. The site is a fair distance from Bournemouth and Christchurch, but it didn’t matter as we were able to take a bus which got you to either location in under half an hour. I love this part of the world, and the next time we come down for a break, I would love to stay at Meadowbank Holidays again. Thank you.

We visited this site over easter and loved it that much we have just been again for the bank holiday. Really nice peaceful site that is really well kept. Pitches are a good size with a tarmac base and gravel for your awning. We will definitely visit again when we are back down that way.

Very nice site with lovely helpful staff. We use the luxury pitches which are fantastic. The shower block is very nice and always clean. Can't wait to visit again. Still a beautiful site, the staff keep it clean tidy and looking lovely. Would recommend the touring pitches to anyone. First visit of the year for us and the site is looking lovely as usual, the staff are all brilliant and so helpful. They have even managed to get us some sunshine. This site is a real gem and we always love our visits.

A beautiful site, well kept. Staff was lovely, always greeted us with a smile and made to feel welcome. The caravan we stayed in was clean, tidy and had little extras which was a lovely touch. Very peaceful and the visits from the ducks from the river walking across the grass outside our caravan was an added bonus. Made a lovely change, being a small family run holiday park, where there was no pressure to spend extra money on the campsite like all the bigger holiday parks, left to our own. But the information booklets that was left in the caravan made it so we knew where and how to get in contact with staff if needs be. Although we got back from our stay this week already in talks about planning another stay soon.
