About The Wildings Campsite

Tucked into peaceful Gloucestershire countryside near Bourton-on-the-Water, The Wildings offers a genuinely welcoming family-run campsite experience. The facilities impress – clean toilet blocks with hot showers, a well-equipped communal kitchen with fridges and freezers, and an on-site farm shop serving morning coffee and pastries. Parents appreciate the car-free pitches and play area creating a safe space for children to roam, while campfires are allowed and dogs welcome year-round.

Choose between standard non-electric grass pitches or larger plots in The Coppice area. The site strikes a lovely balance: remote enough for spectacular scenery and proper escape, yet accessible to local shops, restaurants and the Cotswolds' honeypot villages. Staff are consistently praised for their helpfulness, and the overall value is excellent. It's not a manicured resort, but that's rather the point – this is low-key camping done properly.

We had a brilliant stay in a yurt, with its own private area, and the beds were super comfy. The pizza on Saturday night was so good too. It's in a great location just outside Bourton on the water. We will definitely be returning! Thank you

Stayed for one night with my daughter in the camping area. Greeted by a happy and helpful member of the team. Told us all we needed to know from inside the useful farm shop. Can park with easy access to the camping area so not to far to take tents etc, they also have wheelbarrows you can use to help you move kit. The plots are tidy and spacious, you can also see the toilets and shower blocks from the pitches so feels safe to let kids go by themselves. Nice open area for kids to play on in front of the tents etc as well. Quiet spot with no road noise, very well kept and maintained showers and toilets. Very laid back welcoming feel. Will definitely stay again.

Went in the camping field with a few families recently and had a brilliant time. Love that it's no cars on the pitches so the kids can run round safely. Love that there's a proper coffee machine and pastries in the shop. Love the pop up food truck that was there on Saturday. Really nice, quiet pitch with clean facilities and warm showers.

We stayed for 2 nights as a family of 5 in the Sorell bell tent. It was absolutely lovely. A good amount of floor space, even with 3 kids beds around the sides of the tent! The site itself is lovely. The communal kitchen is fab too! We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Such an excellent location too!
