About Meadow Lake Glamping

Tucked away near Farthinghoe, Meadow Lake Glamping offers a peaceful countryside retreat with a notably dog-friendly approach – all four pitches welcome four-legged guests, from the Pipistrelle Nook to the lakeside Swan Lakeview. The Robin Roundhouse and Hedgehog Hollow add character to the setup, and families will find the site welcoming, with showers, toilets and drinking water on hand.

There's no WiFi, which helps preserve the off-grid feel but won't suit everyone. It's a solid, unpretentious base for exploring Brackley and the surrounding Northamptonshire lanes, particularly if you're travelling with a dog and want somewhere straightforward that doesn't overcomplicate the camping experience.

We had a lovely stay at the Piperstrill yurt and enjoyed having the hot tub. lovely location and my daughter enjoyed talking to the cows. Only thing we would say is it's starting to look a bit tired and could do with some love and a spruce up but other than that the owners were very helpful with the couple of minor hick ups we had.

Stayed in vintage yurt for a romantic weekend away! They were so accommodating and nothing was too big or too small for them to do. The hosts, Joel and Lucie really do go above and beyond for there customers and I was so impressed with their hospitality. The cleanliness of the yurt was impeccable and not a dust spec in sight. The overall location is beautiful overlooking hills and pure greenery, quiet and secluded. T u were always on call if you ever need them or have a problem day or night but we never had an issue with anything to do with our stay apart from where to eat! As to which, they gave out there local pub which was a fantastic suggestion! 10/10 would definitely stay here again and already looking to book for this year if I can!!

I’d like to respond to the reasoning you provided regarding the drop in water temperature. Your explanation is inaccurate, as no cold water was added during the hire. The temperature drop may have been due to a fault in the hot tub itself, or possibly a brief 10-minute electricity outage — although a drop of 10 degrees over such a short time would be highly unlikely. Despite reporting the issue, no one came to inspect the hot tub. We attempted to call the number provided, but it did not work. Your response — that the hot tub would take 8 hours to reheat — is not acceptable when we only hired it for two days. It significantly impacted our experience. Unfortunately, this situation left us disappointed, and I hope future customers don’t face the same problem. Based on our experience, I would advise others to be cautious when considering this hire service.

Just back from a fabulous weekend, beautiful surroundings and very easy to find. Joel met us on site and checked us in, extremely friendly and informative about our yurt. Facilities were great, everything you need to do self catering, The Fox pub is a 5 minute walk if you fancy a meal out. We stayed in the Bramble yurt which had a separate kitchen, toilet /shower room and outside covered seating area with table within its own enclosed grounds. Absolutely looked it 🏕️🥂❤️
