Had a great visit at the Textile Museum. Saw many fine examples of Shetland textiles, and had a chance to learn hands-on how to use a knitting belt from a local knitter with expertise. Very casual and friendly. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is interested in the textile arts.

Well worth the walk out of the town centre, this little museum is a real gem, if you are interested in knitting and in particular, the beautiful Shetland designs that are typical of the islands. Catherine was a fascinating lady to talk to about knitting on Shetland.
