About Grawen Caravan & Camping Park
Grawen is a straightforward working farm site at Cwm Taf, three miles north of Merthyr Tydfil and a short walk from Llwyn-on Reservoir. It's the lack of polish that appeals: level grass fields, mature hedges, generous pitch spacing and prices that have stayed sensible. Standard and electric hook-up pitches take tents, caravans and motorhomes, with two-person pitches from around sixteen pounds a night. Facilities cover the essentials—hot showers, clean toilets, launderette, phone charging, chemical disposal and a small shop—and while the three-star grading reflects a no-frills approach, buildings are well kept and the family owners offer useful weather and route advice. Dogs are welcome on leads.
The position is the real draw. The Taff Trail passes within minutes, the reservoir circuit offers a flat family walk with forest edging the water, and Pen y Fan's southern approaches via the Neuadd valley or Storey Arms are ten to fifteen minutes north by car. Merthyr Tydfil provides a railway station, supermarkets and the Brecon Mountain Railway terminus at Pant. Pre-booking is worth considering for bank holidays and electric pitches.

Lovely clean and tidy park hosts we're Lovely we were inundated with midges as surrounded by trees and and grass mound as by the caravan storage area toilets and showers were lovely and clean plenty of space river flows through the site although cant see it very well with all the overgrowth. We had lots of rain and the steps up were hard to see in the dark and some were full of water and I got my feet soaked. Very quiet site lovely views. Would stay again

We highly recommend this campsite! The place is lovely, with a great atmosphere, very clean and well looked after. The owners are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We would definitely come back and happily recommend it to others.

Fantastic campsite! Lovely people running it. Stayed with my campervan last weekend. Got everything you need, toilets, showers, washing up area, etc. and a stunning view as a bonus. Only a 10 minute drive from a Bike Park Wales if you are a keen mountain biker like me, this is a very reasonably priced campsite.

I stayed for one night at this campsite due to the very handy location near Pen y Fan. The facilities are basic but good at a very reasonable price. My first time camping, and it hasn't put me off! Loved seeing the sheep too 🐑
