Always love going for a walk here. It's a flat walk around tbe lake and suitable for mobility scooters and youngsters on bikes. There are other walks but they vary in ability. There is a lovely cafe that serves limited meals, snacks and coffee. It does get very busy at peak times and weekends. A lovely relaxing place to walk and there are several benches around the lake to rest and watch the ducks.

In May 2026 we did a circular walk around the area but unfortunately the last section was very difficult to navigate due to a mass of undergrowth and fallen trees. Parts were excellent with new works carried out to a high standard. On a positive note other areas around the visitor centre are great for families, with great play and activity areas. The food in the visitor centre is very good and at a decent price. Free car parking is a bonus.

An amazing country park. The view was good and have several choices of trail for huking. A simple walk around the ponds gave you a very enjoyable moment. Highly recommend to make a visit here.
