68 Degrees West Glamping

We stayed here for a long weekend and stayed in The Lodge. The site is very quiet and our Lodge wasnt overlooked by any of the others which was perfect for us. The Lodge was very clean on arrival. The downside for us is that it wasn't very well equipped. There were lack of utensils for cooking. Only a 2 ring gas burner. Lack of crockery and mugs. The double bed was a small double and the bath towels tiny. No TV. The hot tub wasn't working properly and therefore never got up to a hot temperature. There was no storage space to put our groceries and no storage for clothes. I appreciate the bedroom is small, so perhaps some pegs on the wall would be beneficial and a chest of draws could be located in the living area. We have stayed in cheaper accommodation that has been better equipped. Although the location was nice and the site and the Lodge was nice we didn't feel it was value for money.

Lovely site with immaculate facilities. We stayed in the Black Mountain Lodge and loved it. The hot tub and view was an added bonus. The top bunk was a squeeze for my 13 year old daughter but we managed it. We used it as a base to visit Brecon Town and go pony riding and ziplining and found it really good location wise for lots of activities. The whole site was very clean and we would definitely visit again.

First of all, it was a very cosy and a much needed escape immersed in nature. We stayed in the Y Cwtch cabin. The location was absolutely phenomenal with a lovely view of Pen-y-Fan (when we went there was snow on it!). And being able to see this from a hot tub was even better. It was pure luxury. We spent most of our time in it due to bad weather. Unfortunately due to the storm that went over when we stayed, the views were sometimes obscured by the clouds, but that was okay, it was to be expected. The high winds also meant we couldnt really go anywhere. However, even during the storm, the pod was lovely and cosy with the log burner. (You are only provided with 1 nights worth of logs to fuel the fire, you have to pay £5 if you need more). We did have an alternative source of heat provided (a small radiator) which was on when we arrived to warm up the pod. This is something we greatly appreciated. Also, we practically had the site to ourselves which was nice. The one thing i would say is, if you're planning on staying here during the winter months, I would reccomend budgeting for the pods with an ensuite. This is so if you do have bad weather, you won't have to brave the elements just to use the facilities. Also, whilst I appreciate this was advertised on the website, I wasn't expecting to make the bed when we arrived😅 After quite a journey, we were quite tired and took us awhile to sort it out whilst also trying to unpack. So again, if you'd rather not do this perhaps go for the pods where the bed doesn't double up as a bench. It was comfortable but a tad small. We were also not provided with a black bag for general waste. In hindsight, this could have been an honest mistake and I should have perhaps communicated this with Rachel. Instead we simply put it in a carrier bag we had and disposed of it in the communal bin outside. Despite a few small things, I thouroughly enjoyed staying here and hopefully I'll be able to come back. I definitely reccomnend it!

Unfortunately this was a complete waste of money. Doesn’t have a real bed, just wooden blocks with cushions on it which move apart in the night leaving you to fall in to the crevices. Neither myself or my partner could sleep properly for either night while we were there which somewhat ruined the trip. When we complained we were told by both staff members ‘no one has ever complained it before’ which isn’t the point is it? I would never stay here again and I would tell anyone else to avoid it. The only good thing about it was the view, but not worth it one bit I’m afraid.
