Tucked into the edge of woodland with sweeping views over the Brede Valley, Barefoot Yurts offers two fully furnished yurts on a private family-run site in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just five minutes from Brede village and a quarter-hour from Rye, this peaceful spot strikes a lovely balance between seclusion and accessibility – you're remote enough to feel properly away from it all, yet close to coastal days at Camber Sands, bike trails at Bedgebury, and the gardens at Great Dixter.

Each yurt stands on a wooden deck with comfy beds, proper linen, and a well-equipped campers' kitchen including fridge and cooking utensils. Dogs are welcome, making this a flexible choice for families or couples after a cosy romantic escape. The local pub is a pleasant half-hour stroll if you fancy an evening pint, and with year-round opening and that perfect five-star rating, Barefoot Yurts clearly gets the glamping formula right.

My husband and I love this place. We stay in the safari tent which is a little piece of heaven. It's so private and peaceful. The tent has everything you need and the fact there's no electricity means you really can switch off and relax. Julia is an excellent host and always seems so happy.

Absolutely beautiful setting, great amenities and even more amazing scenery. Really enjoyed our weekend away, even if it did rain 90% of the time. Hot running water, oven, all crockery provided. Will definitely be returning this year! Kids and dog loved it too!
