About Wellness Woodlands

Tucked into 20 acres of Shropshire woodland near Bridgnorth, Wellness Woodlands is an off-grid escape where spacious pitches nestle among native trees and open meadow. A private woodland path leads straight to the Severn Valley Railway – kids love spotting steam trains – while resident geese, chickens and ducks waddle about four wildlife ponds. Overhead, buzzards and red kites circle; deeper in the trees, woodpeckers tap away. The fairy village and forest school keep children happily occupied, and when dusk arrives you can light a firepit under the stars (no portable speakers, though – this is a genuinely quiet site).

Facilities are eco-friendly and no-frills: spotless shower blocks, outdoor washing-up sinks, no electric hook-ups. Cars stay in a separate parking area, so bring a trolley for your gear. The welcoming hosts provide fresh eggs and honey from their own bees, or nip to Highley (five minutes) for supplies and pub meals. Ground can be uneven in places, but the peaceful atmosphere and well-maintained amenities more than compensate.

A very lovely campsite , absolutely fabulous for the children. Felt like we were almost wild camping. Some small and very thoughtful additions , and my three year old was overwhelmed with the “splendid smelling cherry soap” in the toilets. Lovely location , with some lovely people , for a much needed mini get away Thank you

We have just returned from an incredible few days at Wellness Woodlands. The site is one of the most beautiful and certainly the least crowded we have ever stayed at. Lots of beautiful spots to explore and plenty for the children too with the forest school areas, fairy village, sandpit and small play area. My boys loved the sword in the stone. The owner, Jess, was so helpful from booking and throughout our stay and has thought of so many things that make the site special such as free teas and coffee in the washing up area, a big fridge / freezer and ice creams for the children to help themselves to. We stayed in our campervan and prefer to leave the van once pitched and explore the local area by foot / bike. This area is perfect for that, we cycled around Severn Valley Country Park and had breakfast at Cafe No 92 (which was great), cycled to Hampton Loade and got the steam train back to Highly, enjoyed the woodland walk down to the river and The Ship in for dinner and drinks, visited the Engine House which is free and fantastic and went kayaking. All on the doorstep. We booked two nights but added another and we could have easily spent the whole week there. We can’t wait to return. Thanks so much for being a brilliant host, Jess

Just come back from 2 nights here and already can't wait to go back. Stunning site, really neat and tidy. I believe the toilets are new and they were great. Severn Valley Country Park is very walkable from here, as is a pub! Well done for creating such a cute and relaxing place to stay :)

We hired the whole site and the Nest barn for birthday camping with a big group. We had such an amazing weekend. The site and facilities were brilliant. It’s a beautiful site with lots to do nearby. Jess was very welcoming and responsive, sorting out any minor issues we had very quickly. We can’t wait to come back!
