About Little Eden Adventures

Ready for a little adventure on the Somerset Levels? Little Eden Adventures delivers exactly that, with its own private jetty where you can launch paddleboards, kayaks or Canadian canoes (hire available from the sister site four miles away). The riverside location means you can fish from the bank, while kingfishers and damselflies flit along the water – though be prepared for uneven terrain and gravel pitches that give the place a properly wild, back-to-basics feel.

Beyond the river, you're perfectly positioned for walks and bike rides in the Mendips or Quantock Hills, climbing at Cheddar Gorge, or trips to Glastonbury, Wells and Bath. The Sustrans National Cycle Route 33 runs just past the site. Back at camp, there's a firepit area for evening gatherings, a games box to raid, and a garden kitchenette with washing facilities. The nearby sister site adds a farm shop, café-bar and activities like archery and axe throwing to the mix.

Stayed at the basic campsite. Nice setting, surrounded by fields with easy access to the river. Only downside was the facilities. One of the toilets didn't flush properly, most of the water from the sink dripped into a bucket and the design of the sink meant water went all over the surface surrounding the basin. The showers only ran warm if the tap on the leaking sink was running and there was nowhere in the shower to dry properly and dress without clothes getting wet, easier to shower and put on a changing towel robe and get dressed in your van/tent. Shame the facilities let this campsite down.

Really nice and small campsite. Beautiful facilities, next to a river and had lots of personality. Really kind owners!

This is a really terrific site set in glorious countryside by a beautiful river. We camped for two nights and paddleboarded in the river just a few steps from the tent. We saw kingfishers a few times and there were baby tawny owls in a nearby tree calling to each other. The provided firepits were great. I should point out that the site is rustic. From my point of view that's generally a good thing, but if you want all mod cons, you may be disappointed. Much as I would love to give the site 5 stars, I had to deduct one as the showers weren't really usable. The water was either scalding hot, cold or just not there at all. Not ideal. But, overall, a lovely site that I would recommend.

Just returned from a short break to this simple but beautiful site deep in the Somerset countryside, nature at its best. After a pretty turbulent few months we just needed somewhere quiet and peaceful to chill out for a few days and we certainly found the right place. We spent one afternoon sitting by the river, painting, snoozing and looking out for Kingfishers amongst the other wildlife. Evenings were spent around our campfire with a few beers, watching an owl out hunting for its young and then a restful nights sleep. Andy the owner is a lovely guy, who just wants you to have a relaxing break. No strict long list of rules, just use your common sense, be kind to and respect nature along with your other guests. Absolute little gem of a place.
