What visitors say
I do love a walk in the countryside, preferable woodland for shade on hot days like today. The dogs prefer it too. Reality nice walk about today, Jon did get away from me when I was paying for the parking, I apologise again to the very understanding kitchen staff and guests we interrupted while I corralled him and carried him out of the cafe🙏🏻. Great walk though when we got going, I'll visit again with more time as I only had around an hour to spare this afternoon. The walk was good, I would suggest walking shoes at the moment because of the track marks left by works, that are now channels of hard mud that could be a challenge to traverse for anyone unsure. Other than that, trainers are adequate. We did a loop around the part of the forest closest to the cafe, took us around 45 minutes total with many side quests and stops for Jon to have a nose about in the undergrowth, off the path left and right. Saw a doe and calf cross the path, maybe 150 meters ahead of us (Jon didn't see, low perspective), gorgeous 🙏🏻. Recommend, easy to park (paybyphone app), cafe on site if you fancy a nibble. Kids playground near the cafe and carpark. Nice routes that look well signed, great stop.

1st time visiting today with 6 kids and wife. Was very nice change of pace. Choices on which forest walk to take pending on your free time and some very nice play areas for the kids. My favourite bit was the cafe where you can enjoy a nice dri k with a live feed of inside a bird nesting box. Will defo be going back another day.

Took my youngest 2 kids ages 5 and 7 to their Easter Forest School and they both loved it. Lots of activities to do and explore areas. Den building, mud kitchen, digging area, swing and fire pit where they got to toast some hot cross buns! Finished off with nettle tea too. The Country Park is amazing too. Huge playground with a long zip line, sand pit, fun things to climb on and explore also. Great day out for sure. There’s also a cafe but we didn’t try it as we had a picnic. Ample parking and only £3.50 for the day. Well worth a visit.

Plenty of walks through woods & fields. Nice cafe but remember to take card or coins for parking (is part of parking by phone app)
