What visitors say
We visited for the day with our 4 year old she had a lot of fun. Definitely recommend. No wait for tickets and rides maybe 10 mins for the longest. A great day out! ( Personally would recommend the parlour for ice cream or sorbet! At the end of your visit) Rum and raisin and chocolate chip yum!! Lots for all ages to do. Would consider the accomodation although we didn't use it!

Park itself is nice, yet few things which weren't so great: a lot of bird poop around the lake and the rides have their best years behind them. So if you want just to enjoy the park, do it, have a great picknick or a run through the park. Would be great if the community could get more funds to improve the situation there. Overall recommend to visit it

Wicksteed Park is a wonderful local facility. Most of the park itself is free, there is a huge play park and several smaller parks too. The walk around the lake is beautiful, especially when the swans are nesting. When in season you can buy tickets for the rides, or wrostbands. They can be quite expensive, and it's worth keeping an eye on for deals. The rides are fairy basic and need some attention, unfortunately. The mini gold is really nice however, and there is a soft play if you need it. The food is very basic and it's definitely worth taking a picnic instead. Don't forget to pay for parking at the end of your trip.

Really good day out for the family. Apart from the parking you can have a good day there for free. However getting a wristband is well worth it for unlimited access to rides. As a family of 6 the total cost for wristbands was £110. Family of 5 plus 1 single. I personally liked the bumper cars and Naima was amazing and looked after us. Rest of the family enjoyed other rides which they went on many times.
