About Travelodge Bristol Central
Bristol Harbour and the SS Great Britain are both within walking distance of Travelodge Bristol Central, making it a handy base for exploring the waterfront and the city centre shops beyond. Pubs, bars and restaurants are dotted around the surrounding streets, while golf, fishing and watersports can be found nearby for those wanting to venture a little further.
The hotel itself has 119 rooms across five floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in the room. Accessible rooms are on offer, and there's a lift serving all floors. Some guests have found the rooms on the smaller side and the amenities fairly basic, so this suits travellers after a straightforward, functional stay rather than a lot of extras.
Breakfast is served on site, along with a restaurant and bar for evening food and drinks. Chargeable parking is available under the hotel itself, though space is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's worth registering your vehicle at reception as soon as you arrive. Pets are welcome, which is useful for anyone travelling with an animal in tow.

What guests say
If you are looking for a brilliant, budget-friendly base right in the heart of the action, the Travelodge on Anchor Road is an absolute winner. It perfectly hits the mark on convenience, price, and location. This hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. For the stellar location next to the best bars, the affordable price, and the massive perk of underground parking, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a hassle-free, fun trip to Bristol!

Overall, this Travelodge offers reasonable value for money, particularly for short stays, with a convenient location and friendly staff. The beds were clean, comfortable, and well-presented, and amenities like an optional breakfast and access to an iron at reception were appreciated. However, the cleanliness of the rooms was inconsistent and below expectations. Issues included visible stains on furniture, unclean mugs on arrival, and even a soiled toilet roll in the first room, which staff were reluctant to address directly. While the staff were polite, their lack of proactiveness reduced the overall service experience. In summary, it’s a budget-friendly option in a good location, but improvements in room hygiene and service attentiveness are needed.

Please t staff rooms clean but need a revamp toilet roll holder hanging off wall, so we were allocated a new room. So it worked out fine in the end. No black pudding at breakfast. Would of been nice.

It was only 7pm, and I had to wait 10ish minutes at the check in because there was no staff. also couldn’t find any bell to ring to call a staff member. Finally someone showed up. A little impolite behaviour. Tried to access the toilets in the lobby, they were a mess. Was out of tissues, smelt horrible. Apparently they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The room was ugly, kettle wasn’t washed, the room didn’t even had a glass or a bottle of water to drink. No sockets to put in a phone charger next to the bed. Only usb type sockets, no type c connection. The shower curtain in the bathroom of the room was manky. Worst stay. If I had the option to get a refund, I would do that. What a waste of £130. Plus parking is terrible too. £14.50 for 24 hrs. It was boiling hot weather, and when I checked in, room window was open with the radiators turned on. Atleast freshen up the room properly before having a new guest on the room.
