Enchanted Cottage

This detached cottage stands within the grounds of a Grade II Elizabethan hall, surrounded by meadowland where deer graze freely. The building itself combines period character with modern comfort, offering two bedrooms and two bathrooms across a single floor, with everything from entrance to kitchen accessible without steps. The main bedroom has a super king bed and ensuite shower; the second holds a double bed with a separate shower room nearby. Both rooms have smart TVs, and the living space includes another television in the sitting area.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave. Heating, electricity, wi-fi and all bed linen and towels are provided. The real draw is outside: a private hot tub for four sits on the large lawned garden, which also has patio seating and a gas barbecue. There is parking for two cars and a bike store.

The cottage lies just outside Salhouse village in the Norfolk Broads, within reach of three pubs, a shop, café and garden centre. Salhouse Broad itself is minutes away for canoeing, kayaking or watching boats; the Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail is accessible by ferry for walking. Wroxham, three miles off, is known as the Broads' capital and has waterside shops and cafés. Norwich city centre is eleven miles away. Smoking is not permitted.
