Ship Cottage

Ship Cottage suits couples after a riverside break, or families wanting their own space without the formality of a hotel. Two bedrooms—one with a 7ft bed, the other smaller—and two bathrooms mean everyone has somewhere to retreat. The whole place is yours alone, with a garden that opens onto the water and patio furniture where you can watch the boats pass.

Ground floor holds the main living areas: an open-plan kitchen and dining space with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and all the kit you'd need to cook properly, plus a sun room and separate shower room. Upstairs are the bedrooms, each with an ensuite. Electric heating keeps you warm; wifi, bed linen and towels are sorted. One car can park on site, and there's overflow parking nearby.

The cottage sits on the Yare in Reedham, a village with two pubs and cafes within walking distance. One dog stays free. Note that the garden has two steps and an unfenced riverbank, and smoking is not permitted.
