About Haven Wild Duck Holiday Park

Set among woodland at Howard's Common near Great Yarmouth, Haven Wild Duck Holiday Park is surrounded by trails and abundant birdlife, giving it a quieter, greener feel than many seaside parks despite being close to the Norfolk coast. Walkers and cyclists have plenty of ground to cover right from the doorstep, and the setting is one of the park's strongest draws.

Accommodation is in caravans that are kept clean, spacious and well looked after, each with a kitchen for self-catering. On site there's a bar, snack bar, and breakfast option alongside a games room, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and organised entertainment aimed squarely at families with children. Staff are on hand around the clock at 24-hour reception, and there's a laundry service for longer stays. Pets are welcome, and free parking is available nearby.

Beyond the park, guests can arrange fishing, watersports or a round of golf nearby, and there are pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings off-site. It's a practical base for exploring Great Yarmouth and the surrounding coast, with the woodland setting and wildlife making the park itself worth lingering in rather than just passing through.

This is the most wonderful holiday park!! We are on our first holiday without our parents and were a little nervous about things but the team here have helped us whenever we have needed!!! The caravan was so clean and smelt lovely on arrival. The staff are all so lovely and helpful, reception are very prompt, we did have an issue with our cooker but they fitted a new one the same day and was ready when we arrived back from exploring around towns! The arcades are lovely, the security guards at the door are a bundle of laughs and make you feel very welcome. The entertainment in the Live Lounge was amazing. The chip shop on site was delicious and the staff were lovely! The signal in the caravan was slightly patchy but it wasn’t an issue, however there was brilliant wifi connection at the live lounge and restaurant!

We’ve just left our week long holiday at Wild Duck. We’re a mixture of please & disappointed with the experience. The caravan was brilliant, very clean & spacious, however we had absolutely no phone signal & no WiFi. The park was absolutely empty, we never saw more than 5 people outside their caravans. The entertainment was absolutely terrible with the only good thing being their bingo, however the bingo costs £20 per person to play. Last calls were at 9:45pm in the live lounge, the restaurant closed at 9pm. The arcade is practically empty with majority of the ticket prizes looking as if they’re out of Poundland. I absolutely love Haven Holidays & have been going to their parks for the past 25 years. Never have I ever had such a boring experience! We will definitely not be going back to this park.

Very beautiful scenery, the look of the caravan was very nice however the caravan wasnt looked over properly and there was a leaky dishwasher which caused the carpet to get soaked. In the master bedroom the shower burnt my feet as it was too hot and when I turned it down it was freezing cold. We were also missing lots of utensils such as scissors, a cutting knife and a mixing bowl. Facilities were great no problems with them. Overall it was a nice stay but the caravan we sayed in could have been nicer. Thanks haven!

Caravan - 3 bedroom, sleeps 8 including sofa bed in lounge area.  We comfortably had 3 adults and 4 children in Bronze, 97 sandpiper court,on arrival it was very clean and tidy, looks newish/refurbished modern tones. Sofa bed was an ssue that was kindly resolved during our stay. Includes, fridge freezer, gas stove and oven with above lighting and fan, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans, microwave, kettle and toaster. Two toilets which came in very handy for both the families sharing the stay. Decent size power shower, wardrobes throughout, hairdryer in master, lots of plug sockets throughout, Freeview 32inch TV, dining table and benches, coffee table. Parking : extremely frustrating that staff kept parking outside our caravan to walk over to the main entertainment/pool/food court area, several cars just parked wherever they wanted and went to do their shift without any regards to the paying patrons. Considering the rules are one car per caravan and not to park on the grass it was surprisingly inconsiderate when there is more than one car park. Wildlife: amazingly peaceful, stunning wild ducks and other birds by the fountain lake, ducks are gentle and don't peck or bite when feeding out of hand with duck feed purchased at the shop. Rabbits, seagulls, squirrel s and much more to find around the site. Definitely recommend earplugs for sleeping as those seagulls can be noisy menace's on the roof. Pool- we only used the indoor pool, fun sessions for all ages, £1 needed for each locker, don't forget a floor towel as sliders can't be work at poolside, abit of qué for changing room as they are limited. Signal - it's like our caravan had a signal blocker, none of us had any signal inside..however..step outside next to the caravan and we all have full 5G! But there is free WiFi when in the restaurant area Sitting duck restaurant: some great deals for kids if not the weekend, otherwise decent pricing throughout, can order direct from your phone or the haven app. Free WiFi. Target shooting- Awesome activity for child's and definitely adults! We found a new hobby! Walking routes and play parks all around the site, 97 sandpiper is directly opposite the crazy golf course and swimming pool building, 1minute walk to local shop/food court etc. Can you spot the miniature ducks we have left around the site for people to find 🦆🐤😊
